Yo, back again.. Here to continue the berkelah trip story..

Sunday day break-nothing much left of the story le..
Basically, we still manage to grab some rest n woke up in the morning..
The river level has gone down, though the current still look dangerous..
We all got up and started packing our stuff..
Salvage all we can, and buang all the unwanted stuff..
LoL..In the end,I still ended up taking heavy stuff..
This seriously sucks..No one seems to wanna help..
So I jus thought, forget it..I will jus squeeze as much as I can..
Squeeze the raincover for the girls tent and the larger tarpaulin..
Ended having to give yao the smaller tarpaulin..
So in the end, its the two of us carrying such fucking load..
Oh well..Screw it...

Oh, forget to mention, our/their breakfast was biscuit and hot water..
My breakfast? - a sip of that hot water..
LOL..I think i too stress to eat le..
While everyone eating n packing their own stuff.
I was worrying bout the equip..
Wad can be save, who to take wad, wad more can i take..who cant take anymore..
...Don even feel like eating anything..
So i ended up having to trek down with an empty stomach..
Heng my dinner was heavy..
Oh well...Who cares..

One more thing, during this period of time, our rescuers arrived..
I think he's the police or the ranger..lol..
Not very sure..haha..
He came here, den we like Martian talking to Jupitian..
Dont know wad each other is talking bout..LOL..
He dont know much English so cant really communicate well..
Oh well..LOL..
After a while, more police/rangers arrived and dere were some who speak better English..
Particularly, the guy name Joe..
Interesting guy, asked lots of unrelated qns..
Like our age, are we families, why are we here..lol..
Good guy to talk to..Al thought sometime I cant understand him..LOL..
Okie, back to topic..The police/ranger borrowed our ropes.
With that, they used it to rescue people on the other bank..
Cuz from their campsite, dere is no road down..
They have to cross the river..
So one of the ranger(jus use this)wade across the river..
With a rope tied to him of course..
From dere he tied the other end of the rope to a tree..
And it provides the support for the people to cross..
After that, we started moving off..
The trek down was less tedious..
But it was more dangerous..
Slippery rocks, watery paths..LOL..
We barely manage to make it all the way to the bottom..
At level 2, the twin falls, we have to cross the river again..
And because the water current is also quite heavy down stream,
dere was also ropes for support..
One by one we crossed the river to safety..
After that , we reached base camp..Drop our bags and rest a while..
Then rangers were all looking for Eugene and they started discussing our transport..
In the end, they send us out to the foot of the mountain for free, on truck.
And send us back to kuantan on a army like lorry for free too..
Cool people..Really appreciate them very much for their kindness and effort..
Thanks guys..If not for u all, we would have been lost..=D

Well, the chain of events ended pretty much after that..
After that is jus some lame stuff..
Like lunch and sleep on the bus..Haha..
Reached sg, on the com chat a while den go sleep..Thats all for that Sunday..

Berkelah waterfall, conquered..

Yo peeps..Here to tag once again..

Feeling so tired right now..
And I've to appreciate life..
After what we've been through..
I'm guessing most of us had the experience of a lifetime..
One we rather not have..many not so soon again..
Well..What did we actually went through..
You can say we brush past the gates of hell..

Fri-Sat-Sun
2 days, 3 nights..
An adventure of a lifetime..

Fri night-we set off for malaysia..
From woodlands,singapore custom to johor malaysia custom.
Then from johor to larkin terminal..
Took a bus from larkin to kuantan..
Travelled bout three to four hours throughout the night..

Sat-Reached kuantan..Sleep a while more..
Wake up wash up n had breakfast..
Set off for another bus terminal located some distance away..
Took bus from dere to the foot of berkelah..
From dere, we trek in n reached the base camp.
Had lunch dere before setting off again..
Quite an easy trail up..A bit slippery though..
Reached level 2 campsite, aka twin falls..
The one on the poster..
I think the actually fall is so so so much nicer..
LOL..maybe its because its the first time seeing a waterfall in person..
After that continued trekking up..
Reached level 4 campsite n we put our bags down..
Me, Jun xian, Chow and Siew siew ah ma stayed behind to set up camp.
The rest went up to the submit n some did a cliff jump..
After we set up camp, we bath den start cooking dinner..
The rest come down, bath, then we had dinner..
At night, nothing much..
Yao they all build a river fridge..LOL..After that we went to sleep..
The few of us did sentry duty..

Sun-Drastic happenings occurs during this morning..
Sentry duty for yao they all ended, me and lard take over..
We sleeping on the job, so we ended up trying to start a fire..
We used all sort of material we can find..
Leave, branches, grass n in the end, we used a unwanted tower..
Finally set up the fire n then..
IT STARTED RAINING..
God damm it..Took us so long to start the first den it rain..sianx..
So, we went into the shelter, n rest dere..
The rain got bigger n bigger so in the end, we all went into the tentage..
Sleep a while inside the tentage den realise something..
Somehow, the water under the tentage seems to have increased alot..
So we open the tentage and take a look outside..
and we go WHAT THE FUCK!!
When we open the tentage, the stupid river beside our base has overflooded..
When we step out of the tentage, the river is almost at knee level already..
Omg..Chua Sai..
We quickly take our passport with us, and then chiong up a steep slope...
Funny sia..All of us squat dere trembling..
So cold n so dark..
Heng we got out tarpaulin and poncho..
If not nothing to keep the rain out sure die of hypothermia..
We stay on the slope for live one - two hours..
During that time, the water level went downa bit..
Although the current still very strong..
We all went back down n head into our tent..
So that we can sleep more for the trek home that afternoon...*TBC*
